StOraandProtection: Delivercomponentspartstosite,completelyidentifiedinaccordancewithshopandcertifiedCADDrawingspreparedforthiswork. Storeinaccordancewiththemanufac

6、turersinstructions,aboveground,properlyprotectedfromtheweatherandconstructionactivities.5. INSTALLATIONANDFIXATION Pre-Installation: Allmaterialsanddocumentationrelevanttothisparticularsectionofworkswillbecheckedandverifiedensuringthatthesearecorrectandapprovedtype. Priortothecommencementofworks,ens

7、urethattheareasforpermanentinstallationareready,accessibleandinsuitablecondition.Excavation: PermittoWork(PTW)shallberaisedfortheexcavationclearlymentioningthelocationofwork,sizeofexcavationandlevels. Excavationsareashallbesurveyedandmarkedtothelinesandlevelsasshownonthedrawings. Theareaofexcavation

8、willbecordonedoffusingsafetydevices. EnsuretheworkingareaatanyconfinedspaceisfreefromanyHazardousGasbyproperGastestingusingtheGastestinginstrument. Materials: Notnecessaryfortheconstructionshallberemovedcarefullyandstoredneatlyforreinstatingaftertheconstructionworks. Thematerialreceivedfromtheclient

9、shallbestoredindesignatedareaofstore. Arrangementsshallbemadetoprotectagainsteffectsofweatherandenvironment. Pulling: Insulationresistanceofthecablesshallbecheckedbeforelayingcables. Afterthetest,theendofthecableshallbesealedtopreventtheingressofmoisture. 1.ocationofthepanels/equipmentshallbeidentif

10、ied. Cablesshallbelubricatedifbendsinconduitsareencounteredinaruntofacilitatedrawingin.Cablesmustnotbebenttoaradiusoflessthan12timestheoveralldiameterofthecable. Rollersmustbeusedwherecablesareinstalledinanopentrenchusingapullingropeandeye;cablerollersaretobeusedatfrequentintervalstosupportthecables

11、andmustneverbemorethan3metersapart. Therollersaretobeplacedsecurelytopreventmovement. Thepullingropemustbeequippedwithaswivelandbeattachedtothecablebyastockinggripwithpullingeye. Thecabledrumintendedforcablepullingshallbeidentifiedasperthatindicatedinthedrumschedule. Thecabledrumsshallbeun-packedand

12、placedonacableroller,asrequired. Cablelayingwillgenerallystartfromoneendoftheroutelengthoratanysuitablepoint,asnecessary. Dependingontheweightandsizeofthedrum,suitablesizeofthecablerollingshaft(Spindle)shallbeplacedinsidethecentralaxisofthedrum. Suitablejacksshallbeplacedfirmlyonthegroundandjackedup

13、toallowclearancefromthegrounddependingonthesizeofthecabledrum. Thedrumshallbeliftedbyrequiredequipmentandplacedonthejacks. Thecabledrumwillbecorrectlypositionedandthedirectionofcablepullingasindicatedbyarrowonthedrumshallbecomplied. Thecableshallbedrawnintothetrenchsmoothlywithaminimumofstopsandatan

14、averagespeedofbetween9-12metersperminute,toavoidirregularmovement. Termination: Terminationpointinsidethepanels/equipmentshallbeconsideredforsuitablesparelengthtobeleftavailableduringpullingofcabletermination. AftercuttingthecabletotherequiredlengththeterminationworkwillbeconductedasperADDCStandard.

15、 JointingandTerminationwillbecarriedoutasperADDCstandards.Alljointingandterminationworkwillbecarriedoutbytrainedtechnicians,experiencedinsuchworkfortheoperatingvoltageconcerned. Propercrimpingtoolsshallbeusedcompressiontypelugs.Allcablesaretobeterminatedusedglandsofpropertypeandsizeasperareaclassifi

16、cation. Theglandshallbeassembledstrictlyinaccordancewithmanufacturersinstruction,particularattentionbeingpaidtoensuregoodmechanicalandelectricalcontactbetweenpartwithoutexcessivestrainordistortionofcable. Theentirebodyofthecablemustenterthegland.Thecableshallbeonastraightaxisfromapointatleastsixdiam

17、eterbeforeenteringthegland.Sealsshallbecheckedforcorrectsizeatthepointofapplication. Unusedcableentriesshallbeclosedwithplugsuitableforthedegreeofprotectionclassification.AftercompletionofindoorandoutdoorterminationthecableisreadyforTesting. Commissioning: Thefollowingcalibratedtestinginstrumentswil

18、lbeused: 1KV/5KVIRTestKit-1no. MultiMeter-1no. ContinuityTester-1no. ContinuityTester-1no. Torquewrench-1no. VLF-TestKit. Beforestartingthetest,thecorrespondingCircuitBreakersatbothendsofthecablesarerackedoutandearthedproperly. TestW川beconductedattheMVpanelend.Theoppositeendofthecableterminationwill

19、besecured&protected.TestingengineerwillbeattheendwherehighvoltageisappliedandanotherEngineertomonitorattheoppositeendofthecable. InsulationResistanceW川bedonefirst:(a)betweenterminationlugs;(b)Phase,NeutralandEarthterminationlug;(c)conductortoterminationlug.Thiswillbedoneoneminuteeachat5kV,andtheresu

20、ltsarenotedasperapprovedtestreportformat. Thecontinuitytestandphasesequencetestswouldbecarriedoutandresultswouldberecordedforrecordsandfuturereference. TechnicalAssistance: TheinstallationsupervisingtechnicianforthesystemtradeshallinstructtheCONSULTANTEngineer,andConstructionSiteManagerontheprogramm

21、ingandcorrectoperationofthesystemaftertheinstallationiscompleted. Thisinstructionshallbescheduledattheconvenienceofthestaff. Allsuchinstructionshallbeproperlyrecorded. WIRwillbeissuedforConsultantapprovaluponmakingsurethattheinstallationofthesystemequipmentsdoneasperapprovedshopdrawings,approvedspec

22、sandmanufacturerrecommendations.6.RESPONSIBILITIES0PROJECTMANAGER1. ToensurethatallthepreparationandapplicationworksarecarriedoutaccordingtotheContractSpecificationandwiththeapproveddrawings.1. Toensurethattheprogressingofworksiscarriedoutaccordingtotheplannedprogramandaspertheapprovedmethodofstatem

23、ent.2. Toensurethatalltheequipmentandmaterialrequiredexecutingtheworkareavailableaccordingtotheplannedconstructionprogram.3. Toco-ordinatewiththeMaincontractor,MEPcoordinator,SafetyOfficerforasafeandproperexecutionoftheworks.0SITEENGINEER1. ToensurethattheworksarecarriedoutaccordingtotheContractSpec

Toensurethathisassistantforeman/chargehandareawareofthejobrequirementsandtheyhaveenoughinformation

Toensureinconsultationwiththesiteengineerthatthemanpowerinvolvedintheworksaremovingasagreedandplannedforthework.4. Tocontroldisposalofwastematerialsaccordi
